Backyard Kids provides Early Childhood Education & Care in Otaki area

Our services for BYK include supporting Alice with setting up initial payrolls as the centre opened, tidying her books and correcting inaccuracies, setting up email for speedy bookkeeping processes, tracking payments and correctly assigning payments to families inside Discover.

Daisies Childcare Centre

This short term 3-month contract fulfilled one of my career goals; to work with Daisies! Turns out it wasn’t quite in the teaching role I had originally thought! It was a privilege to work alongside this team and see the amazing work they’re doing with the children.

  • General Bookkeeping: including daily reconciliation, inputting bills, following up with clients payments, tracking expenses over different departments.
  • Fortnightly Payroll:
    – linking payroll to Discover to speed up the payroll process
    – carrying out fortnightly payroll for 20+ staff; regular and casual
  • Staff Expenses Management: Creating Google Form which can be accessed via QR code so staff can upload their expenses.
  • Smartly Training: to newly hired in-house administrator to carry out Payroll with Smartly.

Biz Drivers

Biz Drivers provides coaching for consultants who work with large multi-national corporations

We provide Executive Assistant services for Biz Drivers including confirming scheduled appointments from new leads, and general meeting scheduling. The aim of our call is to reduce the number of no-shows and help prepare the board member for the phone call.

Calls with new leads are tracked gauging their interest in the service and if they show up to the meeting. If leads are not reached prior to the meeting via phone, text or email, then the meeting is cancelled with an email inviting them to rebook.

The Motion Clinic

  • Tidy My Books! Organise two years worth of transactions, including income transactions from Stripe, pdf bills through email and receipt management. Accounted for home office expenses and minor assets. Coded everything ready for the Accountant to sign off both End of Financial Years.
  • Intro to Xero training: including setting up the client’s business on Xero, showing how Xero works, how to email bills into Xero.
  • Print Material: Creation of pamphlets which cover common topics which can be given out to customers.
  • Website Audit: a tidy up of the Wix Website as per clients instructions, including ensuring online booking is set correctly.
  • Logo Creation: Creation of a simple logo to use on print material

G-Gees Sustainable Fashion

Gina provides sustainable and up-cycled clothing for every body.

Our services for G-Gees was around business coaching, digital marketing and supporting Gina with accountability and growing her online presence.

Auto Tech Miramar Ltd

When we started with Auto Tech, the director was feeling quite stressed about the state of his books, and he was struggling to keep on top of the bills which needed to be paid. Some suppliers were outstanding, and some were overpaid. After we carried out a Tidy My Books! service, we then carried out an audit of where his accounts were at, what he was overpaying for, and what services which weren’t needed anymore. With a few months of clear data, we were able to create a budget with real figures showing where the profit margins were at. With the increasing inflation, we were able to create more accurate pricing for services.

  • Tidying My Books! Service: sorting, organising and reconciling 3 months of invoicing, receipts, outstanding bills, collating into Xero, ready for End of Financial Year.
  • Prep for Year End: Preparing books for EoFY, GST ready for accountants signoff.
  • Establishing Priority Tasks: Meeting with the accountant; establishing a rapport and priority list of tasks.
  • Cash Management: Creating a cash sign-over sheet; carrying out weekly cash banking.
  • Outstanding Payments: Calling outstanding debtors and arranging payment.
  • Payroll: Signing up to Smartly Payroll, creating timesheets, carrying out weekly payroll.
  • Cashflow Management: preparing a budget outlining expenses and daily, weekly, monthly targets.
  • Pricing: using more accurate numbers of the operational costs, which translated into changing the prices for services and products.
  • Tech Integration: Linking SAM with Xero in a way which suits the business.
  • Inbox Management: Organising Gmail Inbox with use of labels, filters and automatic forwarding of bills to Xero
  • HR Support: Preparing employment contract for new staff, for directors revision & signoff, supporting director in employment negotiations.
  • SOPS: Creating Standard Operating Procedures for the administrative role
  • Website Audit: An audit of the GoDaddy website, covering information which should be in the website. Website refresh.
  • In-House Training: Handover of SOPS , and Xero training to newly hired in-house administrator and continued support while she learnt the role.

Metro Waxing Ltd

This client came to me looking for a complete redesign of her website, which would include a way for her customers to book and pay directly from the website. The redesign included a rebrand of colours, facilitated by my friend and amazing designer Keane Chan

  • Website Design: A brand new website from scratch using WordPress with Kadence Pro Themes and Plugins with WooCommerce and Amelia Booking Plugin.
  • Copy editing and sourcing of stock photos.
  • Set up of WooCommerce including editing of provided photos, editing and creating copy for products.
  • Linking WooCommerce to Stripe
  • Set up of Amelia Booking Plugin, integrated with Zoom, Google Calendar, and WooCommerce for adding products to the cart.
  • Regular back end maintenance and checks ensuring core updates and plugin updates do not break the site (and fix if this does happen)
  • This website is now completely under the clients control; Zesty no longer manages it.
