Frequently asked questions about Discovery Calls

A Discovery Call is a time for you and I to ‘discover’ each other – that is for us to have a conversation about what is happening in your business, and decide if we are a good fit to work together. You may have also heard this called as “Initial Consultation” or a first meeting.

The idea is for us to spend a half hour talking through the issues you have in your business, as well as to assess whether you like us! Ultimately we will be walking alongside you in your business, so we need to figure out if we like each other as well as can we do the job!

Usually our Discover meetings are about 30 minutes, depending on how the conversation goes. So plan for this time to be uninterrupted if possible!

This meeting is reserved for getting to know one another. This is not a time where I will tell you intricately what we would do to support your business. This is when we will decide if we’re a good fit to work together. If you would like coaching or training, please ask during our meeting and we can talk about how that can be provided.

No! You just need a phone with a suitable camera, and you will be able to access the meeting. You don’t even need to have an account.

Unless otherwise specified, the meeting with be recorded. This is to ensure I can focus directly on our conversation during our time together, and I can go back and make notes of what we agreed to inform my proposal to you. I am happy to provide a recording of the meeting; I will provide you with a Loom link which will stay valid for 3 months
